“What Was He Thinking?” Sarah’s Journey
Step back in time to approximately 2050 BC to the town of Beersheba in Canaan, 3 days journey south of Jerusalem. Imagine that you, and your friends around you, have come to the center of the village to draw water. You notice in the distance Abraham’s wife, Sarah, is headed your way. She is at least 100 years old, and rarely comes to the well, and never without her servants. As she approaches, it is obvious she is quite upset. Let’s listen, once she catches her breath… |

Step back in time to the Persian Empire, in the capital city of Susa, somewhere about 450BC. Sitting in a room known only by the Jewish community, you and the other Jewish women and men around you, have been personally invited to attend a rare, private audience with the ex-queen of Persia, Esther.
Esther had been crowned Queen as a young woman. She had been chosen by King Xerxes to be his queen after he had banished his first wife, Queen Vashti, for disobeying his command.
Listen as Esther, a woman in her 50ties, who now again uses her original name of Hadassah, takes the time to set the record straight
"Lydia Listens"

Step back in time, approximately twenty years after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, outside the town of Philippi in Macedonia. You have been invited to the home of Lydia, a successful business woman who sold cloth prized for its purple colors . Testimonials ~ Drama
I thought it appropriate if I wrote you a thank you letter for your outstanding performance of 'Mary's Heart' at out Ladies Tea here at the Alton Bay Christian Campground. Our Tea is the only time our 'sisters in Christ' have our own program and your heart wrenching portrayal of Mary's thoughts and feelings about her beloved Son was fabulous. Your presence was so real and we felt we were actually hearing from Mary herself. Such great thoughts to ponder as we sometimes forget that Mary was a mother too.
God has given you a special gift, Sherri. I am so glad that He had lead you to preform this wonderful drama. Thank you for sharing with us. We also loved your presentation of the 'Lights' and the thoughtful 'homework' activities you gave us. You will not be forgotten!

Thank you so much for sharing your Esther drama with our kids. I love how willing you are to share what God has given you. I prayed that each child in our ministry heard something that impacted their heart.

Thank you for "listening" and praying over our request to create "Lydia Listens". My heart is full of joy and gratitude for you. It was a holy moment watching you deliver God's message as Lydia. The day after the luncheon, so many women were singing your praises and took many pearls of wisdom and encouragement to apply to their lives. God IS on the move. You made the luncheon EXTRAordinary!

After watching Sherri perform Esther and then giving her testimony after the drama, I walked away with a peace. I now understood better that God will let me know what is next in my life and I don't need to fret.
I considered the entire experience a blessing! Sherri is accomplished, commanding, well-rehearsed and delightful!.

I saw your play on Sarah and was moved to tears. We don’t think much of Sarah because somehow all the credit goes to Abraham. However, your portrayal of Sarah brings her justice. I could identity with her agony of leaving her country, her relatives and all dear to her for a treacherous and unknown journey (I am an immigrant myself), and waiting for God’s promise of an heir until she was 90? Her patience was really stretched on this one. When she finally received the promised son, Abraham, obeying God’s request, took the son up the mountain to sacrifice him. That is more than any mother could bare. You tell her story and covey her agony with such simplicity that it makes it very compelling. For the first time Sarah jumped off the pages of the Bible as a real person and made me think how totally human she is. Thank you for bringing Sarah to life, it was an unforgettable performance.

I could tell the drama Mary's Heart came from your heart. It was very touching and the speaking was clear and precise. Your talk after the drama could make people change.

Many, many thanks for joining us for the Hope in Christ Woman's Fall Event that took place here at Hope in Christ Church in September. Through your acting expertise we experienced a personal meeting with Hadassah a/k/a Queen Esther who spoke to us with words directly from the Bible. We were captured by her story and beauty. As the story went on we learned the application to our own lives of the lessons learned by the story of Queen Esther.
Joan M. Ames, Hope in Christ, NH
Your presentation of "Mary's Heart" was so meaningful and I was thrilled to experience it especially after the year delay because of COVID . Now I am eager to meet your other Bible women. Thank you for making the Christmas Tea so Christ-centered.
