Storyteller and Story-maker - Live or Virtual!
Storytelling by “Queen Amnesia”
Sherri reads stories to children as Queen Amnesia on "Holiday" in the United States from her
make-believe kingdom island, Aisenma, near the United Kingdom. If desired, she can also visit LIVE into each child's home or "classroom" by reading on ZOOM or another virtual platform.
She focuses on the joy of reading, vocabulary words, and asks questions of the children throughout the readings. When parents are present, she encourages and re-enforces the importance of reading out loud to their children.
The Queen, quarantined at her friend Sherri's home, has had time to learn and practice the American accent, so the books can be clearly understood by children. Characters come alive in each book when they have different voices all voiced by the Queen.
Queen Amnesia encourages children to remember 3 things each day. Fast-forward to 11:46 on the clip below to see some good news she shares at the end of each event.

"Wild Sunflower" - The Story-maker
Just like Queen Amnesia, Wild Sunflower enjoys reading story books to children but, her favorite thing to do is creating stories with the children. Each child when we meet together in a live setting or a virtual call, gives Wild Sunflower - The Story-maker, one or two random words that she writes on a white board. Then Wild Sunflower takes these seeds of a story and right before their eyes, a one-of-a-kind story blossoms into a wild and fun new story created by the planting of their own words.
Each story is different and each one is special bringing delight to all! When appropriate, she will ask for a child volunteer to make up a story from the same list of random words. She always encourages children to use their imagination and to write their own creative story!

Wild Sunflower - The Story-maker also has had years of experience working with residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. She can entertain the elderly in a group with her large Crossword Puzzles, Sing-a-longs, and creating stories from their choice of words.
Wild Sunflower is happy to coordinate some of these events over ZOOM or another virtual platform, or will come to their home-away-from-home when desired.
Next Step - If you would like either Queen Amnesia or Wild Sunflower to come visit your children's class, group, birthday party or event, either live or virtually, contact Sherri and she will discuss the best option for this special occasion.

"It was a delight to watch Sherri, now named Wild Sunflower, weave clever, entertaining and silly stories out of random words provided by our Memory Care residents. Everyone seemed to enjoy this process and she has a talent for getting most everyone involved. I saw smiles and heard laughter from even our most stoic of residents."
Anne, Memory Care Director, Denver, CO
"We were excited to be invited to a live storytelling time with HopeKids which reached children in 7 states. Queen Amnesia kept all the kids spell-bound as she used different fun voices for each of the characters. My 4-year-old was so captivated that she even wrote a sign for the Queen that she shared live at the end of the reading. We hope to see her again soon!"
Cambria, mom of a 4 and 1-year-old, New Orleans, LA
"When my 8-year-old daughter heard Queen Amnesia was going to read books to us live on Zoom, she ran upstairs and put on her Belle dress-up dress and asked me to put up her hair in a Belle bun. She sat mesmerized the whole time while the Queen read two books! Thank you Sherri...I mean Queen Amnesia!
